Due to presence of Covid-19 virus and related preventive measures in Iran, we advise Slovenian citizens against all travels to Iran.
The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia will be offering limited consular services until further notice in order to limit the spread of Covid-19.
At the arrival to Iran, all passengers will have to submit a certificate of negative COVID-19 molecular test in English, issued no later than 72 hours before the entry. Passengers from European countries, will be tested again for COVID-19 RT-PCR at the points of entries, and should self-isolate until receiving test result.

On 15 July, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia changed the conditions for entering the country. Country colour lists are being abolished. For all persons who wish to enter the Republic of Slovenia, the VTC - Vaccinated, Tested, Recovered - rule shall apply. A person who fails to provide any proof of meeting the VTC rule, shall be quarantined at home for ten days. Foreigner without the residence in Slovenia will be allowed to enter Slovenia only if he unequivocally proves he has a guaranteed place to undergo a mandatory ten-day quarantine.
